I created for the Social Sciences Team of the University of Arizona Library.

Stalking
the Wily Ethnography (new graphics in 2006)
Another tutorial for the Social Sciences Team, this one was a collaboration with
Librarian Olivia Olivares to create a self-test tutorial on identifying ethnographic
materials in the library catalog. Spring 2002.
UA Library School Website
In the May of 2001, Atilla Vékony and I were commissioned to redesign
and restructure the website of the School of Information Resources and Library
Science at the University of Arizona. Although this site is almost 6 years
old it is still in use.
Knowledge River website
A collaboration with Project Director Pat Tarin, Jose Cazares, Claudia Timman,
Michele Saunders and Rick Fitzgerald.
When
Books Burn
This was the internship project for my final semester at the University.
It was an exhibit teaching about intellectual freedom and the 1933 Berlin
book burnings, and ran from May 10 to July 10, 2001 in the UA Main Library's
exhibit area. Our featured speakers at the opening were Gerda Weissmann Klein
and Kurt Klein. In August and September of 2001, the exhibit was displayed
in the Tucson-Pima Public Library's Main Library lobby. Created in the spring
of 2001.
The Early Years of the Patagonia
Public Library: 1957-1976
A history of Patagonia and its library, written for Dr. Seavey's class
on the History of American Libraries. Footnote links don't work yet -- I
am still working on this set of pages. Fall 1999.

Government Documents website
My colleague Atifa Rawan asked me to redesign her extensive site of government
documents resources. The new site now has consistent navigation, a clear
structure, and a clean, quick-loading design. Spring 2002.
UA Library Guide to CIS Congressional Universe
This page was created to be a teaching and reference tool for librarians
at the University of Arizona. Librarian Atifa Rawan provided the content
and I developed the interface. Winter 2002.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the UA Library
This set of pages was compiled from several different websites maintained
by 3 different librarians. The project was to organize the existing resources
into a cohesive unit. Spring 2002.

This set of pages aims to complement the library's subject guide to geography
research. The project was to redesign and rethink a preexisting resource.

Resource Pathfinder for UA Library
For this project, I worked with Librarian Chris Kollen to create an index
to both paper and web-based resources for statistics. Winter 2002.
Videos
and Archival Recordings for Mexican American Studies
This list was created for my fellow team member, Ninfa Trejo. Audio visual
materials can be difficult to locate in the catalog, so this resource was
created for Mexican American Studies professors and students. It provides
access information for hundreds of currently uncataloged archival materials
pertaining to Mexican folklore and the history of Tucson. Winter 2002.

Here are some of the projects where I have assisted UA Librarian Ruth
Dickstein in the development of research tools organizing UA Library and
Web resources for the use of students beginning research. Most of these
were created in the spring of 2001.

Websites: Please note that all of the websites listed here were built the old-fashioned way with table-based layouts. This is due to the fact that at the time they were designed the UA Library needed to support the use of Netscape 4.7.
